My name is Matthew Palmer and I have been teaching math (and tutoring) in Broward county, Florida for three years. I love teaching and enjoy tutoring even more!

I am certified to teach middle school (6 – 8) and high school math (9 – 12) through the American Board and also the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE).

I am presently pursuing my masters degree in educational psychology at Florida Atlantic University.

Before attending FAU I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Southern California where I received a BA in Social Sciences.

Many who know me well know that I am an avid sports fan having competed in track and field for Jamaica and USC.  It was my love and passion for track that actually lead me to teaching.

Below are a few courses that I have either taught and/or tutored:

  • Pre – algebra
  • Algebra I
  • Algebra II
  • Geometry
  • Pre – calculus
  • 6th grade science

My teaching career extends outside of the classroom and unto the track. My coaching profile via coachup can be found here. (I am ranked in the top 10 in Florida).

Here are a few of my coaching accomplishments:

  • 8 state qualifiers
  • 10 school records
  • 4 district champions
